#SUPPORT KALEIA & THE MU’A FAMILY ❤️

Yesterday, what should have been a normal family day at the footy turned into every parent’s worst nightmare. Beautiful Kaleia, just 4 years old, was attending the Prime Nines Tournament at Tugun Rugby League Club when she was involved in a devastating freak accident and was run over by a buggy.

Kaleia sustained life-threatening injuries, including a fractured skull, multiple brain bleeds, a broken leg and internal bleeding. She remains in hospital in the Children’s Critical Care Unit at Gold Coast University Hospital, surrounded by the people who love her most. Her mum, Amber and dad, Joe have not left their little girl’s side, while her brothers Kingston, Kohen and Khobie stand behind their sister, hoping and praying for her recovery.

No family ever imagines that a day at the footy could end like this.

Right now, Amber and Joe’s entire focus needs to be on Kaleia, her recovery and keeping their family together. Alongside the unimaginable emotional toll, they are now facing the wider impact of an extended hospital stay, time away from work, travel and everyday living expenses, and the uncertainty of what Kaleia’s recovery and ongoing care may look like.

We are asking our community to rally around the Mu’a family during a time when they need their village more than ever. Every donation, no matter how big or small, will make a difference. Funds raised will help ease the financial pressure on Amber and Joe so they can remain by Kaleia’s side and focus on what matters most — their little girl.
