Help Our Precious Baker Boy
Donation protected
Hey everyone, Tyler and Jayde here!
if you’re fortunate enough to have met our beautiful Border Collie Baker, you would know how good of a dog he is, how much he means to us and that he is an important part of our family.
On Thursday, he was diagnosed with Tetanus, a bacterial infection that affects the nervous system. This meant that he lost control of his muscles, particularly his jaw making it difficult for him to eat or drink. Tetanus patients require an enormous amount of care for their prognosis to be positive, so Baker is currently in the intensive care unit at one of the largest vet hospitals in QLD, making sure he gets enough nutrients and antibiotics to allow the infection to pass. Some tetanus patients take 3 days to get better, others take weeks. We are reaching out for any donation to go towards his care at the unit, the longer we can keep him in the better his chance is of coming home quicker, otherwise we will have to try and do our best to care for him at home.
