Please help our Phoebe girl
Donation protected
Today is one of the worst days of our lives. Our rescue dog phoebe is sick and we’re asking anyone who can help to find it in their heart to save our precious girl.
Three months ago we adopted our gorgeous, playful, gentle little soul, Phoebe, from a high kill shelter in Oklahoma. She was clearly abused and was terrified for the first week that she lived with us, but little by little we loved her back to life. This was phoebes second chance at happiness and finding a forever home, and In the past three months she has brought us immeasurable joy.
Phoebe is the kind of dog that everyone wants to be around, she’s playful, goofy, affectionate and full of love. And right now she’s sick and whithering away.
This past Tuesday we noticed something was wrong. She barely slept Monday night and began panting and became extremely lethargic. She stopped eating and drinking, and Tuesday morning after desperately trying to find out what could possibly be wrong with her she collapsed.
We rushed her to the vet. $600 later they told us she may have cancer and needs more intensive care so we immediately drove down to Toronto where they could see her and get her the help she so desperately needs and deserves.
At 12:30AM the vet called with more bad news. She is being monitored in the ICU because her red blood cells are dropping and she may need a blood transfusion. She is heart-worm positive as well.
While this is not our proudest moment and we do not feel good about this, we have spent over 5 thousand dollars trying to save our Phoebe and we unfortunately cannot afford all of the tests and treatments she needs.
We are asking anyone, a friend, a loved one, a coworker, if you are an animal lover yourself - you know the ways in which a dog can change your life, and bring immeasurable joy and love to you and family. Phoebe has been that for us, and we are graciously asking for your help to save her life. There is no such thing as a small donation and even just sharing this helps more than you know.
Thank you so much
