Please could you help us to help our old school friend Debbie Jarvis that unfortunately has been diagnosed with brain cancer. She has had all her treatments that she can have and unfortunately. It’s not good news she’s been given only 6 months with her family. So we were thinking and hoping that some of family and friends that can help her. Just a little bit to ease some financial stress or just even have some extra money to even be able to afford some special time together. Hopefully making memories with her children and grandchildren. Debbie only found out she had this cancer back in February last year and fought hard. But unfortunately she’s been given the worst diagnosis ever. Please let’s try and give her and her family the chance to make her last memories happy ones ♥️♥️
My mum’s incredible school friends kindly set up this GoFundMe page to support her during this unimaginably difficult time. Recently, they’ve asked if we, her family, could take over the page.
In February 2024, after weeks of terrifying seizures that left my mum unable to speak, impacted her cognitive abilities, and caused the loss of function in one arm, we received the devastating news that she had a brain tumour. Further tests revealed not one but two tumours, and she was diagnosed with stage 4 brain cancer.
She courageously underwent an awake craniotomy, during which surgeons were able to remove most of the tumours. Following that, she endured rounds of radiotherapy and chemotherapy. Despite her incredible strength and determination, we’ve now been told that the treatments were unsuccessful, and she has been given a heartbreaking prognosis of just six months.
As a family, we would not have created this page ourselves, so we are deeply grateful to her school friends for taking that initiative. It’s now our hope to continue their efforts, and we want to thank everyone who has already donated—it truly means the world to us.
Our focus now is on making the time we have left with her as special and joyful as possible. Your support, no matter how big or small, will help us create lasting memories during these final months.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you.
