Our daughter was born at just 25 weeks and 2 days, arriving far earlier than we ever expected due to an emergency C-section. Since her birth, she has been fighting for her life in the NICU, first at Cabell Huntington Hospital and now at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. She has already undergone two heart surgeries, with another one scheduled for April 10, and she receives weekly echocardiograms to monitor her progress. Despite all she’s been through, she’s now up to 5 lbs. 11 oz., and we are so proud of her strength and resilience. The doctors expect she will need to stay in the hospital until at least May 2026, and she will require multiple heart surgeries in the future.
The emotional and financial toll on our family has been overwhelming. We have seven children, ranging from 17 years old to our newborn, and it’s been impossible for us to work while making sure our family is cared for and our daughter is never alone in the hospital. The medical bills are piling up, and the costs of travel, food, and gas to be with her in Columbus are adding up quickly. Anything you can give would help tremendously—whether it’s for medical bills, travel, food, or gas. Your support means the world to us during this difficult time, and we are so grateful for any help you can provide.
