Help the Newborn Heal – Urgent Brain Surgery Needed
Donation protected
I'm Yamini Chebrolu, our family is reaching out with heavy hearts and hopeful spirits to ask for your support. My cousin’s baby boy, just 2 months old, has been fighting for his life since the day of his birth. My cousin Priyanka and her husband Arun Kumar was blessed with a baby boy on March 11, 2025. He was suddenly struck with meningitis, the reason being unknown, which began with unrecognizable seizures and led to a critical blood and brain infection. He was hospitalized continuously from the 8th day of his birth and he underwent emergency surgery to remove infection from blood and his brain on April 18, 2025, unfortunately his battle is not over yet.
Now, his cerebrospinal fluid isn’t draining properly, the liquid is gathering over the operated area in the size of a big onion, the baby is constantly having seizures every few minutes with a heavy high heart rate of 260 bpm, unable to feed the baby well due to constant vomiting, fever, and he urgently needs a shunt surgery to survive and recover. So far, our family has spent over 24 Lakhs INR on his treatment, exhausting all our resources. They are in dire need of an additional 8 Lakhs INR to proceed with the next life-saving operation continued with constant critical care and medications all during his initial years of growth that is burdening financially. All the medical procedures are primarily at Kanchi Kamakoti Child's Trust Hospital, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India and frequent visits are taken at Apollo and Narayana Hospitals, Nellore, Andhra Pradesh, India.
This little baby has known nothing but hospital walls, needles, and pain since the moment he arrived in this world. But he is a fighter—and with your help, he has a real chance to grow up, smile, laugh, and live the life every child deserves.
We know times are hard for many, but even the smallest act of kindness can create a ripple of hope. Your donation could mean one more heartbeat, one more breath, one more day closer to healing. If you're unable to give, please consider sharing this message with others who might be able to help.
From the depths of our hearts, we thank you for standing with us. Your support is not just financial—it’s a lifeline, a prayer, and a reminder that even in our darkest moments, humanity shines brightest. Any contribution, big or small, will make a world of difference. The little one is holding on to hope and your kindness means everything during this time.
Thankfully,
Yamini Chebrolu.
