Help Ben Beat Cancer!
No child should have to fight cancer — but 13-year-old Ben Booker is doing just that, with the heart and courage of a true champion.
To know Ben is to love him. He’s kind, caring, funny, smart, and full of life. Whether he’s defending goals on the soccer field, hitting home runs with his Little League teammates, or leading his basketball team to a championship, Ben’s passion for sports and his big heart shine through in everything he does.
Ben’s Journey
What started as simple left knee pain turned out to be something far more serious. After scans, tests, and biopsies at Cooper, Ben and his family received devastating news — a large, aggressive mass was found. Cancer was confirmed, and Ben was immediately referred to the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), one of the top pediatric hospitals in the country.
Ben has been diagnosed with a rare form of sarcoma, with final results pending DNA and gene sequencing. He has already begun an intensive chemotherapy treatment plan with hopes of shrinking and ultimately removing the tumor.
A Family That Gives So Much
Ben’s parents, Brian and Danna Booker, are the kind of people who give endlessly to others. Brian has spent countless hours volunteering and coaching for Woodstown’s Little League and youth basketball leagues, while Danna works as an ER nurse, caring for patients and families in their toughest moments.
Now it’s our turn to help them as they face their own family’s toughest challenge.
How You Can Help
Brian and Danna have missed work to care for Ben during hospital stays and treatments. This GoFundMe has been created to help lessen the financial burden caused by medical expenses, travel to Philadelphia, and time away from work — allowing them to focus on what matters most: helping Ben heal.
Every donation, no matter the size, will make a difference. If you’re unable to give, please consider sharing Ben’s story and sending prayers, love, and positive thoughts to the Booker family.
Together, we can help Ben beat cancer and show this amazing family how deeply their community stands behind them.
