Help Us Save Murphy — Our 5-Year-Old Golden Retriever Fighting Cushing’s Disease
Hi everyone,
We never imagined we would be in a position where we needed to ask for help, but today we are reaching out for our sweet boy, Murphy, our beloved 5-year-old Golden Retriever.
Murphy has always been full of love, loyalty, and the happiest spirit. He is truly part of our family — always by our side, greeting us with excitement, and bringing comfort on the hardest days. Recently, we began noticing changes in his health that didn’t seem right. After multiple vet visits and testing for other conditions, our veterinarian believes Murphy is suffering from Cushing’s disease caused by a tumor on his pituitary gland.
Murphy is only 5 years old — still so young, with so much life and love left to give. But without proper treatment, this disease will continue to cause him pain and serious health complications. As the condition progresses, he may eventually require radiation therapy to shrink the tumor on his pituitary gland, giving him the best chance at living a longer, more comfortable life.
We hoped pet insurance would help with these overwhelming medical costs, but unfortunately, we were denied coverage because this is considered a pre-existing condition. This has left us responsible for the full cost of his testing, medications, and potential radiation treatment.
We are raising funds to help cover:
• Diagnostic testing to officially confirm Cushing’s disease
• Lifelong medications needed to manage his symptoms
• Possible radiation therapy to treat the pituitary tumor
• Ongoing veterinary visits and monitoring
Watching Murphy struggle and knowing he may be in pain is heartbreaking. He still looks at us with the same loving eyes, trusting us to help him feel better. We want to give him every chance possible to live the happy, healthy life he deserves.
If you are able to donate, no matter how small, it will go directly toward Murphy’s medical care. If donating isn’t possible, sharing this page would mean just as much to us.
We truly believe Murphy still has many beautiful years ahead, and with the right treatment and support, he can continue to be the joyful, loving companion we know and cherish.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for reading Murphy’s story and for any support, prayers, or shares.
With love and gratitude,
Murphy’s Family
