Help our mums battle with terminal cancer.

Morag Smith. Loving mother of six, grandmother of eight, poet, artist, writer and activist.

With children from 14 up to 34 years of age, grandchildren from 8 months old and four generations living under her roof from her youngest granddaughter to our 91-year-old granddad, who she cares for on a daily basis. Our mother would have been a pivotal part of all our lives for years to come.

The single most strongest woman that has kept her family afloat by pure force of will in very trying times throughout the past 34 years of her being a mother. Not only has she cared for her own children she has always taken in and cared for anyone in need and has always put others' needs before her own.

To our shock and dismay, our mother has been diagnosed with terminal gastric cancer which has spread to the lymph nodes and liver. With a dire prognosis and a life expectancy of 12-18 months with or without treatment, this has truly shocked us to the core.

Due to the advanced stage and type of cancer, she has chosen to enjoy the remaining time she has with her family.

We have never been a privileged family, we have had to get by on what little our mum has been able to provide.

We are asking for donations for specialist medicines and foods to try to slow the spread of her cancer so that the remaining time she has with us is as glorious as it can possibly be.

So she is able to spend quality time with all her family before she is prematurely taken from us. So she can travel to Finland to see her son, daughter-in-law and grandchildren, travel to the Isles of Scilly and do some of the things she hasn't had a chance to do yet.
