On Monday morning, our world was turned upside down when our beautiful, kind, and strong Mum suffered a sudden brain aneurysm that burst without warning. In a matter of moments, she was fighting for her life. She was flown urgently to Royal Melbourne Hospital where surgeons performed a life saving operation.
For days, Mum has been in a coma while our family sat by holding our breath, praying we wouldn’t lose her. Today, we finally got the miracle we were waiting for Mum has opened her eyes and is now breathing on her own. She still has a long, difficult road ahead, but we are so grateful she is still with us.
Mum has always been one of the hardest working people you could ever meet. Right up until the day this happened, she was working as an interstate truck driver a tough job that she gave her all to every single day. Sadly, her working days are now over, and her focus must be completely on recovery and healing.
Anyone who knows Mum knows how much mum does for every single one of us. She is our rock regardless of anything we love her so incredibly much.
Right now, Mum and Tony are both unable to work. While Mum recovers in hospital, the costs of accommodation in Melbourne, travel, food, and everyday expenses are weighing heavily. All we want is to focus on Mum’s healing without the added stress of financial pressure.
We are asking for help during this incredibly hard time. Every donation, no matter how small, will go directly towards keeping Tony by Mum’s side, covering accommodation, and supporting them with living costs while Mum recovers.
Our family has been overwhelmed by the love, prayers, and support so far it means more than words can say. Mum is a fighter, and with time, care, and love, we believe she will continue to make progress.
If you are able, please donate to help Mum and Tony through this journey. And if you can’t, we’d be so grateful if you could share this fundraiser to help spread the word.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for helping us keep hope alive and for giving Mum the best chance at recovery.
