Our mum has spent her life helping others — always the first to listen, comfort, and offer a hand when someone was in need. She’s given so much of herself to others with kindness and love, and now it’s time for her to be looked after.
In the past six months, Mum has faced the unimaginable — losing both of her legs to amputation. She continues to meet every challenge with incredible strength, courage, and grace, but her recovery journey is long and complex.
On top of this, Mum lives with kidney disease and requires dialysis three times a week, which brings ongoing physical and emotional challenges.
We’re raising funds to help Mum heal and adjust to this new way of life — to make her home safe, comfortable, and supportive for her recovery. Funds will go towards essential needs like mobility and medical equipment, home modifications, and a reliable car for Dad so he can take her to her regular dialysis and hospital appointments.
While some support options are available, there’s so much that isn’t covered — and the small things can make a big difference to her comfort, independence, and dignity.
Any contribution, big or small, will help Mum rebuild her life with the same resilience and love she’s always shown to others.
Tim and I are also planning a creative art workshop, with all proceeds going directly to Mum’s recovery fund. Creativity has always been a way for us to find calm and connection, and we hope to channel that energy into helping her heal.
From our family to yours, thank you for taking the time to read, share, or contribute. Your kindness means the world to us and will help Mum continue her journey with hope and strength.
With love and gratitude,
Melanie & Tim
