Help Our mum keep her Vision.

Donation protected
Dear friends and family,

We are reaching out to you for our incredible mother, Wendy. Today, she received some tough news—she needs urgent eye surgery to address a macular hole. Unfortunately, the public system has her on an extensive waiting list, and without prompt treatment, there's a real risk that she could lose her vision entirely.

Wendy is not just our mum; she is a remarkable woman who has touched so many lives with her boundless kindness and unwavering spirit. She has a unique ability to welcome everyone with open arms, always offering a smile and a helping hand. Throughout her life, she has faced numerous challenges, but she has consistently chosen to see the silver lining in every cloud.

For the past ten years, Mum, Wendy has been the devoted carer for my dad, Gary, who has been living with early onset dementia. This has been a monumental task, requiring immense strength and resilience, and unfortunately, in caring for him, she has often put her own health on the back burner. If mum loses her vision it will impact her on being able to care for dad and result in him ending up in full time care. Their journey has not been easy—over the years, they've suffered significant losses, including their business and family home, leading to a heavy financial burden.

Now, as our mum's eyesight hangs in the balance, we are reaching out to you, hoping you might be able to offer some support during this critical time. If you know Wendy and Gary, you understand just how special they are. They have opened their hearts and home to so many, and now it’s our turn to rally around her when she needs us the most.

My siblings and I are doing everything we can, but we’re falling short of the amount needed to have her seen by a specialist who can perform the surgery in three weeks. Every little bit counts, and your generous contributions would mean the world to our family.

Thank you for taking the time to read our story. If you can help in any way, we would be eternally grateful. Your support not only aids in getting our mum the treatment she urgently needs, but it also reminds us of the strength that comes from community and love.

With heartfelt gratitude, thanks and love x
