Urgent medical help for our Mother, Zenaida Arambulo;

Hello, my name is Rhossana A. Ico, and I'm reaching out from our home in Pulong Buhangin, Sta. Maria, Bulacan. I'm the daughter of Zenaida Arambulo, a loving mother, grandmother, and pillar of our family who has always put others first. For the past year and a half, we've been battling alongside her through unimaginable health challenges, and now we're in a desperate situation that has pushed us to our limits. I'm starting this GoFundMe to rally support from kind-hearted people like you—family, friends, and strangers—who can help us with hospital bills and give her the care she needs to come home and spend her remaining days with loved ones.

Our journey began in July 2024 when Mom was diagnosed with Stage 3 cervical cancer, compounded by hypertension that she's managed for years. We reached out for help back then, and the generosity we received allowed us to cover critical treatments and procedures. It gave us hope as we watched her fight through the ups and downs, showing incredible strength and resilience. She's the heart of our family—the one who raised us with love, taught us faith, and never complained despite her pain. But on December 13, 2025, everything changed in an instant. Mom suffered what we believe was a stroke, collapsing suddenly and requiring immediate hospitalization at SMMCi in Sta. Maria.

The doctors diagnosed her with Spontaneous Intracerebral Hemorrhage in the right thalamus, with intraventricular extension and secondary obstructive hydrocephalus, all stemming from her hypertension. She's has now been under medical management ever since, needing constant monitoring, medications, and treatments to stabilize her condition. We've seen her courage and spirit shine through even now, but the reality is heartbreaking. She has been categorized as GCS (Glasgow Coma Scale) Level 6. Her battle isn't over, and this new crisis has layered on more complications.

As a family, we've pulled together with help from relatives and friends, but the hospital bills have skyrocketed past PHP 250,000 already, with daily costs adding up quickly. We simply can't keep up on our own. Our incomes are modest, and the ongoing expenses are draining every resource we have.

In consultation with her doctors, we've made the tough but necessary decision to transition Mom to home care as soon as possible. This will allow her to rest in the comfort of our home, surrounded by loved ones, but it comes with its own urgent needs. We have purchased a used medical bed for her comfort and safety, an oxygen tank to support her breathing, and basic monitors to track her vital signs. These items alone could cost upwards of PHP 50,000–75,000, not including ongoing medications. Plus, shifting to home care means some of us will have to step away from work to provide round-the-clock support, cutting into our monthly income and making it even harder to cover basics like food and utilities.

This isn't just about medical bills, it's about preserving Mom's dignity and giving her a fighting chance to regain her strength and with God's grace, overcome her comatose state. She's always been the one to care for us and now it's our turn, but we can't do it alone. Every day without adequate support feels like a step backward and the thought of losing her to financial barriers is devastating.

We've set a goal of PHP 500,000, $12,500 CDN, to cover the outstanding hospital bills, essential home care equipment, medications for the next few months, and some cushion for lost income during this transition. Your donation, no matter how small, will make a real difference.

If you can, please contribute today and share this campaign with your network. Your kindness could be the lifeline that brings Mom the medicine and supplies and help her continue her fight. We're so grateful for any support, prayers, or shares and we want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for standing with us in this time of need.

God bless you all.

With hope and gratitude,

Rhossana Arambulo Ico
