Help our mother with her final battle.

Hi, we are Stephen Phillips & Catherine Gifford, the son & daughter of Stephen and Dianne Phillips - long-time residents of North and South Plainfield, NJ. Unfortunately, two-terminal illnesses have gripped our family over the past few years and taken both our parents within two years of each other. Our father passed in April 2020, succumbing to his battle with early-onset Alzheimers; this year, two days before Valentine's Day, our mother lost her battle after seven long years with metastatic breast cancer. My mother, Dianne devoted her life to the service of the church. She was the director of religious education in various parishes throughout New Jersey. Inspiring both my sister and me to become educators ourselves. She worked until neuropathy in her hands (from her cancer treatments) prevented her from continuing services to the church. Dianne, during this time, was also the sole caretaker of our father while battling her own illness. Our parents were on a fixed income throughout the last ten years due to their inability to work. The cost of my mother's funeral expenses has become insurmountable. No matter how big or small, your support and donations would help lessen our financial hardships.
