Please Help Me Support My Mom Through a Difficult Legal Challenge

I never imagined I would be in a position where I needed to ask for this kind of help, but my family is facing a situation that is far beyond what I can manage on my own.

My mother is currently dealing with a serious legal matter connected to requirements stemming from a decades-old case. After 25 years, she believed she was doing her best to comply with those obligations, but a misunderstanding of certain technical reporting requirements has now led to serious legal and financial consequences that have shockingly sideswiped our entire family.

This was not a willful disregard of the rules or an attempt to hide information. It was a genuine oversight involving requirements that she did not fully understand. Unfortunately, the consequences stand to be extremely severe in ways that break my heart.

She has been a loving beautiful mother, through all challenges and difficulties, always offering me and my siblings her unconditional love. I love her dearly and can’t stand the idea of her being imprisoned over this misunderstanding anyone could make.

As her daughter, I am doing everything I can to help her through this process, but the legal costs and financial burden are more than I can carry alone.

I'm asking for help not only for her, but for me as well. I want to be able to stand by my mother during one of the most difficult moments of her life, but it’s more than I am capable of holding alone.
