Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers,
On Saturday, December 14th, 2024, a fire broke out at Our mother’s apartment building, displacing her and around 40 other residents. Thankfully, she is safe, but the fire and smoke damage have left her without a home and many of her belongings.
The fire was ruled accidental, caused by an HVAC unit on the roof, but it has had devastating effects on the residents. Our mother’s apartment was impacted by smoke entering through the ventilation system, leaving much of her personal property damaged or unusable. Like many others in the building, she is now searching for a safe place to stay while dealing with the emotional and financial strain of this unexpected disaster.
While the American Red Cross provided some initial assistance, those resources have been exhausted, and they are not enough to cover Our mother's ongoing needs. She is still in need of support to secure stable housing and replace essential items lost or damaged in the fire.
We are humbly asking for your help during this difficult time. Every donation, no matter how small, will go toward helping her rebuild her life and find stability. Your support will provide her with the immediate relief she needs as she navigates this tough journey.
Thank you for your kindness, generosity, and willingness to help Our mother get back on her feet. If you cannot donate, please consider sharing this campaign to spread the word. Together, we can make a difference.
With gratitude,
