Help Our Grandmother/mother Rebuild After a Devastating House Fire.
The second week of January, our family experienced a heartbreaking tragedy. My 88-year-old grandmother, Margie Blevins Kaylor, lost her home in a house fire. In a matter of moments, everything she knew as home was gone. For 60 years she has lovingly raised her children here, hosted all family gatherings here, and always had her home available to those in need.
She lost almost everything and what she didn't lose is covered in soot. She has immediate needs and we would be grateful for any help given.
The photos attached were taken just weeks earlier at Christmas right before this devastating loss. They capture her home as it always was: warm, welcoming, and full of love.
My grandmother lives alone and now has no place to return to. At 88 years old, starting over is overwhelming, and she needs support more than ever as we work to secure safe housing and help cover basic living expenses during this transition.
She has spent her life giving to others. Her late husband, Walt Kaylor, served as Police Chief of Spring City and Graysville, Tennessee for 40 years, and together they were pillars of their community.
My grandmother has always been a beacon of light — calm in the storm, comforting in hard times, endlessly supportive of her children, grandchildren, and anyone who needed a shoulder to lean on. She is known for her kindness, steady presence, and wise advice, and she has touched countless lives throughout the town.
Now, it’s our turn to be there for her.
Funds raised will go directly toward helping her secure a place to live and supporting her immediate needs as she navigates this incredibly difficult time. Any donation, no matter the size, will make a meaningful difference. If you’re unable to give, sharing this fundraiser is just as appreciated.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your love, prayers, and support for an amazing woman who has given so much to so many. ❤️
This fundraiser is being organized by her children and grandchildren. Mary Davis Armstrong and daughter Rachael Wampler Robinson, Cindy Parrot Lane and daughter Samantha Keylon Royer, Charles Davis and son Charlie, Lori Davis Brown and children Jennifer Louallen and Alex Brown, Kristy Kaylor Stephenson and Riggs Stephenson and other grandchildren of her late son Tony Davis, Sheena Davis Cosby and Brandy Davis.
