לפני שנתיים וחצי אמא שלנו נהיית חולה ברמה שלא יכלה לצאת מהמיטה, לא יכלה לאכול, העור שלה נהיה אפרפר היו לה הזעות ליליות היא התקשתה לנשום והיא איבדה 7 קילו בתוך חודש. שלא לדבר על בדיקות הדם שלה שחלק גדול מהם לא היו בגדר תקין.

היום, שנתיים לאחר מכן הסימפטומים נעלמו לחלוטין אבל הסרטן עודנו שם, לא מתפתח ב"ה בגלל הפרוצדורות השונות שהיא נוקטת בהם, אבל גם לא מתכווץ, הוא כמו כלוא כרגע בגופה של אמא.

בשלושת החודשים האחרונים התחילה אמא בטיפולים מיוחדים ויקרים שאותם עליה לעבור פעמיים בשבוע, ועכשיו סוף סוף החלו הגידולים להתכווץ משמעותית.

כדי לאפשר לאמא להעלים את הסרטן לגמרי ולהבריא לחלוטין בעז"ה עליה להמשיך בטיפול הזה לעוד שלושה עד ששה חודשים נוספים.

two and a half years ago, our mother became very ill. She was so weak she could not support her head even while lying in bed and was unable to eat.  She lost 15 pounds within a month. Her skin turned grey. She had night sweats and a terrible cough. She felt tremendous pressure on her lungs and breathing became difficult. Results of her blood work were all over the charts.  She was diagnosed with cancer – specifically, Classic Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.  

She decided to make major life-style changes which included a nutritional regimen and a protocol of recommended supplements to treat the disease.

Three weeks after making that decision, and with the help of our family still living at home (who took care of her), our mother was able to walk into the hospital on her own. (She required a wheelchair for her prior visit).  Her oncologist did not recognize her. Her natural skin color had returned and there was a marked improvement in her blood work.

Even though the disease has not progressed in 2 years, she still has tumors in some lymph nodes in her neck and chest.  Three months ago, after much deliberation, our mother added a new treatment to her regimen. After three months of twice-weekly treatments the tumors are becoming soft and beginning to shrink.

In order to G-d willing, enter remission, our mother may need 3-6 more months of treatment. The cost of her nutritional needs, supplements, and on-going treatments runs to 15,000 shekel/month ($3,500/month).

We, her seven children, who owe her our lives, have initiated this project to raise funds to cover her costs.
