Help Our Mother Battle Cancer and Paralysis

I am creating this GoFundMe for my mother who has been battling many devastating diagnoses and heartbreak. She is the strongest woman I know. She watched and cared for her husband as he lost his battle with cancer 3 years ago, and then 1 year later was partially paralyzed from what was supposed to be a routine orthopedic surgery.

Shortly after coming to terms with the fact she will never be able to lift her arms on her own, she was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. We have been battling through these two diagnoses privately as a family, but recently the cancer has spread to her brain. We want to do everything we can to help our mother and we want her to be comfortable and cared for in her own home. There are barriers to what we can do because health insurance does not cover much and it takes months to get anything approved.

We are in need of a handicap ramp installed into her home in order to get to and from appointments and assistance to help get her the in-home care that she needs and deserves. My mother has always been a caretaker; she cared for many families as a PCA where she cared for loved ones struggling. She needs help, we all do. Me and Jake have been trying to grieve the loss of our father and now having to watch our mother go through all this is absolutely devastating. Anything would help us, sharing, providing us with connections on how to get a handicap ramp installed, anything really.
