Our mother recently underwent a life-saving heart transplant after a year-and-a-half battle, involving multiple surgeries, after doctors discovered a rare congenital heart anomaly that had gone unnoticed. She completed the surgery last night, October 9th, and is currently in the ICU, beginning a long and challenging journey to recovery.

For the next several months, she will need a 24/7 caregiver from family and will be relocating to Phoenix to stay close to the clinic for frequent appointments and ongoing care. While we are hopeful and grateful for this second chance at life, the financial burden is uncertain and increasing. Medical bills, living expenses, and caregiving costs are all unknown at this point.
