Our mom LeeAnn Correa is facing an unfortunate tragedy and we are hoping you can take a moment to read, share and donate if possible.

Those that know her know her by many names; LeeAnn, Louie, Auntie Lou, grandma and Mom. She’s loved immensely by her family both at home and at work. A job that she has loved working at for 19 years. During a time where we were all so unsure of what was coming next due to the pandemic she, like many of us, was laid off for a year and a half. It wasn't until November of 2021 that she was finally able to go back to work. Shortly after going back to work, having diabetes and being back on her feet all day she developed some complications with her feet. One of these complications developed into an infection. With no other choice because her benefits hadn’t kicked in yet she did her best to take care of this infection at home. At points forcing her feet into work shoes just to get through the day. After literal months of trying to fight the infection at home it got worse. Exponentially worse. At that point with no health benefits and no other choice she went to the Emergency room at the county hospital. She has been there ever since. The infection was so far progressed they admitted her immediately and took her in for emergency surgery to amputate 2 of her toes.

While we had hope that the amputation would be localized to just the 2 toes, it is not. We were just informed today that she will be going back this afternoon for an additional amputation. Praying for the surgeons and that they are able to keep this amputation below the knee allowing for an easier prosthetic fit when the time comes. We will post an update once she is out of surgery. But, like the saying goes when it rains in pours! Yesterday our parents received notice that their rent was being raised even higher than what it is now. Making this current stressful situation even MORE stressful than it already is.

So, just as things were getting back to normal we have been faced with a completely unforeseen life changing event. Sometimes when we have no other option we do things we never thought we would have to do. With that said, here we are, asking for your help to help our mom and dad recover and stay stable through this process. Any amount will help get us to our goal, giving us the opportunity to be a little less stressed during the most stressful times of our lives.

ALL MONEY DONATED WILL BE PUT TOWARDS HOSPITAL BILLS, MEDICATIONS, AFTER CARE, THE RENT INCREASE AND ANY AT HOME SUPPLIES NEEDED TO MAKE HER TRANSITION THE EASIEST IT CAN BE.
