On January 20, 2022 at 1:30 am someone broke-in and physically assaulted our mother. They broke down her doors, threatened her at knifepoint, and demanded money from her. When she couldn’t communicate with them that there was no money in the house, the assailants started brutally punching her in the face, leaving her with a fractured orbital bone and unrecognizable face. They fled with her purse.
Our family does not want to risk her safety by letting her stay. We are currently looking for rent assistance and new housing accommodations to ensure that she is safe and secure. We appreciate any help we can get to get her to a better neighborhood.
