This is on behalf of our mother, Michelle Borders, who is facing what many may face in life - breast cancer.

Our Mom is a single parent, raising me, my twin sister and my brother on her own, while always working at least two jobs, to provide for our family. With this diagnosis, she has been taking on longer shifts at her job as a caregiver at a retirement home, sometimes working as many as 13-hour back-to-back shifts to earn additional income to be able to afford the cost of treatments.

Our Mom has been diagnosed with early-stage breast cancer and she is scheduled for a lumpectomy in mid-April 2023. Any funds that are donated would go towards the cost of this surgery, as well as any additional prescribed treatments, and would also help to cover bills from past appointments.

Our mother is very strong and prideful, so it really took some convincing for her to agree to this GoFundMe! My siblings and I are all hoping that through this platform, we will be able to help lessen my mom’s financial burden and worries so that she can focus on getting better!
