Hello, we are Mario and Idayli, and we’re writing this with so much love and hope for our mom, Marily Peraza.

In March 2021, our family’s life changed forever. Our mother — who has always been the heart of our home, the one who lifts us up and puts everyone else first — suffered a devastating accident that left her with serious spinal injuries.

Since then, she has faced unimaginable pain and challenges. Our mom has undergone three major spinal surgeries to try to preserve her ability to move and function:

A thoracic spine surgery with instrumentation and fixation

Two cervical spine surgeries involving laminectomy and stabilization

She has fought through every procedure with incredible courage, determination, and grace. But now, we are at a heartbreaking point in this journey.

➡ Her doctors have told us that no more surgeries are possible right now due to the extreme risks involved — not unless she loses the ability to walk completely.

➡ They offered stem cell therapy as a potential way to protect and improve what mobility she has left. But this therapy is not covered by insurance, and the cost is far beyond what we can manage on our own.

➡ Every day brings new expenses — rehabilitation therapy, medical equipment, home modifications, medications, and transportation — that are adding up faster than we can keep up.

Our mom has given so much to others all her life. Now she needs us — and we’re asking for your help to give her the chance she deserves.
