Hey there family, friends, and everyone.

This is Max and Hannah, and our mom Kathy could really use your help.

As many of you know, our mom is a kind and loving soul. She has overcome a lot in her life, including but not limited to deafness from birth, and has not let any of her adversity stop her from shining her light on so many lives.

Unfortunately, her health has been rough for a while. She has an aggressive presentation of Type 2 Diabetes, and was recently diagnosed with a very frightening disease - End-Stage Liver Disease, despite remaining sober for over two years after learning her liver was under threat. While there is no curing the disease itself, recovery is fully possible via liver transplant. That being said, our mom may be on the transplant list for a long time.

During that time, our mom will likely not be able to work, and we (her kids) don't have enough in the way of money to give her the financial support for the care she deserves to have a safe journey in the interim. She isn't eligible to receive most types of financial assistance, and it's still two and a half years from early retirement for her.

We're asking for an abundance of kindness, whether you know our mom or not, to help her make it through this scary, difficult time awaiting transplant.

All of the money we raise will go toward our mom's care and support. Our goal is our best estimate at the moment of how much we will need to provide our mom care.
