Update: Mom is having reconstruction surgery today. The surgery will be 6 hours long Please keep her in your prayers.
She will be off work for 6-8 weeks with this surgery. She will continue to be off work, anything helps at this time with her upcoming recovery. Thank you all again for your help!
Our amazing mom, a mother of six, a grandma, hospital worker, and truly the rock of our family was recently diagnosed with breast cancer.
In April mom had gone in for a regular mammogram & results were normal.
2 months later she found a bump & went to get biopsy done.
On June 17th she got a call from her Doctor saying they had found cancer in her breast & just 8 days after finding out, she underwent surgery to have both breasts removed.
While we’re staying strong for her, the emotional and financial weight is heavy.
As she begins this difficult journey, we’re asking for help to support her healing and take some of the weight off her shoulders.
Just months ago, we went through a house fire. It was one of the hardest times. Mom took charge — handling all the insurance, making sure we were all safe and taken care of. It was incredibly stressful, but she held us together like she always does. And now, she’s facing another unimaginable challenge.
It feels like she just can’t catch a break.
She’s spent her whole life caring for others — her patients at the hospital adore her, she also helps care for her Grandkids & she is always putting everyone before herself. She’s truly the glue that keeps us going.
We’re raising funds to help ease the burden during her recovery from surgery and treatment.
Donations will help with:
Medical expenses not fully covered by insurance.
Paying for her housing expenses, as she will be unable to work.
Even if you can’t donate, sharing this page would mean the world. Thank you for being a part of our support system — through prayers, messages, or a kind heart.
She’s the strongest woman we know.
With love and gratitude, The Saldana Family.
