Help our mom get the compassionate care she needs

My name is Chad Askew, and I have an amazing mother who needs help. My siblings Larry Askew, Kristen Aragon, Mary Niedens, John Pegram, and I need your help to be able to provide the help she needs.
Anyone who has ever met Laura Pegram knows the overarching kindness of her spirit, her continued optimism, fierce love for her family, and her enduring love of the Lord. What you may not know is that she was diagnosed with MS nearly 40 years ago. She has Progressive MS, so she will have a permanently impairing episode, but then may not have another episode for some time. Her battle has endured for nearly 40 years, diminishing her to the point that she lives in a constant state of discomfort; she needs round-the-clock care. For nearly the past 11 years, my mother Laura has been in skilled nursing facilities to address her increased needs. Unfortunately, the subpar care at the facilities Laura has lived in have frequently caused her to become ill enough to require hospitalization. After this last hospitalization, our family has realized skilled nursing facilities are no longer an option. As a result of this realization, the only viable option for her care is home care.
Transitioning our mother to home care is a big undertaking. We have a very limited timeline and resources. Your help would have a huge impact on our mother’s health and quality of life.
