Help Our Mom Fight Stage 3 Lung Cancer

Our mom has always been the strongest person we know—raising nine children on her own, giving everything she had to her family. Now, she’s facing her greatest battle yet: stage 3–4 lung cancer, despite never having smoked a day in her life and being the healthiest person i know!.

She showed us what it means to work hard, love deeply, and never give up—no matter the circumstances. She poured her entire heart into raising us and continued that same love and guidance into the lives of her 16 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, and many nieces and nephews. She has been the steady, selfless foundation of our family—quietly shaping generations with her strength, wisdom, and care.

In addition to her cancer diagnosis, she also lives with several autoimmune conditions that make treatment more complicated. while we are just in the beginning of this very progressed fight, we as her children want to help with navigating her care in a way that feels right for her, but unfortunately, the support she’s received so far from the medical system has been limited. Hospice was mentioned far too early, before she was even given a fair chance to explore all available options.

With that said she has been transferred to the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, where compassionate specialists are helping us explore the best possible care options and giving her the hope she deserves.
