Help our mom begin to rebuild her life
Donation protected
On the morning of December 20th, a fire tore through our childhood home. We are grateful for a neighbor who alerted our mother to the blaze and was able to help get her out safely. We are so incredibly thankful that she is safe and that no one was harmed. My brothers and I are fundraising on behalf of our mother, Susan Williams, in an effort to help ease some of the burden on her right now. All of the contents of her home are lost. At this time we are just trying to get her immediate needs taken care of so she doesn't have to.
Everyone who knows my mom and has spent time in this house knows how selfless she is and with a full plate, she still always puts others before herself. Growing up our house was coined "the snack house" for its abundance of quarter waters, ice pops, and little debbie snack cakes. It was the site of endless sleepovers, driveway basketball games, manhunt tournaments, and most importantly, it was always a safe place where anyone was welcome especially if you were in need of a place to stay. Our home was always full. It was filled with family, friends, and love. It's hard to believe a place that held so many wonderful memories could be gone.
Any donation would be greatly appreciate but we understand it's been a tough couple of years and with the holidays approaching everyone is tight, but if you spare a moment to share a memory of a time spent at 154 Gotham, or even a memory of my mother or father, we would greatly appreciate. It would mean a lot to my family to be able to read through the comments and share a laugh (or cry). It's times like these were she needs to be reminded of how wonderful she is and of how many lives she has touched.
Thank you so much.
