Help our Mom as she fights for life and gets leg amputated

Donation protected
Dear friends, family, and all who know the love of a mother,

While visiting Florida from her home in Utah to care for her grandkids, Tamra Kendrick was involved in a devastating car accident. She suffered life-threatening injuries and is fighting to stay alive in the ICU. She now faces an emergency surgery to amputate her left leg above the knee.

A devastating loss for a woman who lived a very active life. She loved to dance, hike, play pickleball, play card games with her family, host countless parties in her home, and lead her family on unforgettable adventures.

She is also battling numerous life-threatening injuries. Doctors removed her ruptured spleen, have given her 25+ units of blood, and performed several more emergency procedures to keep her alive. She has suffered a fractured left hip socket that will require a plate, a broken left hand, a right leg fracture needing surgical plating, broken ribs, collapsed lung, brain bleed, lacerated liver, and multiple facial fractures. With more injuries being reported.

Tamra is still currently sedated due to the trauma. She is unaware that she will wake up to one leg, years of recovery, rehab and the challenge of learning to walk again with a prosthetic.

We ask that you join us in helping care for her. Because she was out of state when this happened, the medical and travel expenses are far beyond what her limited insurance can cover. Besides the extensive surgeries and rehab needed, she will be stuck in Florida for months which will incur many additional expenses.

Another financial burden will be that her husband, who still works full time in Utah, will be missing large amounts of work in order to travel and be with her in Florida as she recovers.
Every donation will go directly toward her care, her hospital stay, rehabilitation, and eventually bringing her home to Utah to be surrounded by family and love.

We are deeply grateful to the Airmen, citizens, and members of the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office who were first on the scene. Their quick thinking and selfless bravery, including using one of the airmen's belts as the first tourniquet, saved her life.

Please donate and share her story. Any donation is appreciated. Your kindness, prayers, and support mean the world to us.

From our entire family, thank you for standing with us as she fights her way back — with the same strength, joy, and love she’s always given to everyone else.
