Help Our Mom and Stepdad Rebuild After Altadena Fire Loss

Donation protected
Our Mom, Debbie, and stepdad, George, lost everything in the Eaton Fire in Altadena. They had only minutes to grab a few things before they were forced to evacuate.

They are both retired special ed teachers who dedicated their careers to serving the community and supporting local families in LAUSD. This has been an incredibly heartbreaking time for them as they’ve lost the home that’s been in our family for nearly 50 years—as well as so many places filled with memories around the Altadena community they love. It’s hard to believe it’s no longer there for them to go home to, to celebrate with family, and to create new memories with their grandchildren there.

For those who know our family, we also experienced a tragic loss of our older brother last fall, so the grief for our family - and especially our Mom - is deep. This house was their sanctuary, a place where they found peace and cherished memories.

These funds will help cover the deductible on their fire insurance and purchase essential items in the immediate future.

Thank you so much for anything you can do to help them rebuild and restart their lives. We appreciate it more than you’ll ever know.
