We’re a military family preparing for a PCS move from Oklahoma City to Alaska with our three young children. Instead of flying, we’ve chosen to make the long drive north in our RV so we can bring our home with us and experience the journey together as a family. It’s a trip we’re excited about—but also one that comes with real challenges. The route is long, remote, and unpredictable. Much of it runs through areas where services, fuel stops, and roadside assistance are limited. Between fuel costs, emergency preparedness, and unexpected repairs, the trip adds up quickly—especially with a large RV and a family of five.
We’re asking for help to offset some of these travel costs and help ensure we can make the journey safely and without unnecessary stress. Your support would go toward fuel for the long drive north through Canada and into Alaska, emergency roadside and RV preparedness supplies, unexpected travel costs along the way (repairs, towing gaps, etc.), and keeping our kids comfortable and safe during the trip. We are covering as much of the cost ourselves as possible, but any help from friends, family, and kind strangers would go directly toward making this transition smoother and safer for our children. We’ll also be sharing updates from the road so you can follow along with our journey from the lower 48 all the way to Alaska.
Thank you for taking the time to read our story and for any support you can offer—whether that’s a donation, sharing our page, or simply cheering us on as we make this big move as a family.
