Help Our "Mikey" Weidner Beat Pancreatic Cancer

Donation protected

About 25 years ago, Mike (Mikey) Weidner came into my life after I eavesdropped on the conversation he had with his friends about the greatest boxers of all time - I just couldn't help myself growing up with 2 boxers in my family - and turned around in my booth at Calamity Janes to exclaim, "Joe Lewis and Muhammed Ali!" Needless to say the guys were dumbfounded by the gal that knew her boxing and they then asked me to join them with my friends and we ended up talking boxing all night long - the rest is a history of an amazing friendship between Mikey and I - but then again, it was easy to LOVE Mikey - he's one of the sweetest, most honorable, loyal, and truest human beings and friends in this world - I don't know a soul that has ever met Mikey and do not count him as a real friend and confidante - he is truly an extraordinary person full of more life than most anyone I have ever met.

So here is where we so deeply need YOUR HELP....

Mikey is 48 years old, grew up in Glenview, IL, and was diagnosed with Stage 1 Pancreatic Cancer and has been fighting it tooth and nail with chemo through often unbearable pain without barely a whimper, ongoing in patient hospital visits, and 4 ongoing meds that each cost more than most people need to pay for rent/mortgage every month completely out of pocket, and has an upcoming Whipple Procedure surgery and months of in patient rehab after it is completed to provide the care he is so deeply going to need.

Where Mikey may not be a considered a conventionally rich man always devoting himself to caring for his ill grandma and others first and foremost without a second thought...Mike does so remind me of George Bailey in "It's A Wonderful Life" For he is not only "The Richest Man in Town" but on the whole North Shore due to an enormous heart and spirit like no other whose always put everyone else before himself.

It is time we all band together to do the same for him and help him pay for the treatments needed to beat Pancreatic Cancer including his upcoming Whipple Procedure Surgery that will very well cause him to go into remission since the cancer was gratefully caught so early and prolong his life for years to come.

However, this is on US to help him to SAVE MIKEY's LIFE!

He'd do this for anyone of us - whether you met him yesterday or 25 years ago or more, like I did - because once you meet him, you are indeed friends for LIFE - so we NEED to do this for MIKEY'S LIFE!

Please give whatever you can - no sum is too small - no sum is too big - the only sum that matters is the Sum of a Life Well Lived to CONTINUE!

Share with all you know and we are so incredibly grateful!
