Hi, my name is Sonila Naqellari from Tirana, Albania. I am fundraising to collect funds, in order to help my friend Meriona (Meri) Prendi to afford medical bills in her battle with cancer. We are a group of friends of 6, who built our friendship during hard times of COVID, and our lovely Meri is the foundation that keeps us glued together. She is literally the true definition of love, energy, laughter and courage to always fight, never lazy for anything (especially during girls' trip).

Since 2021, Meri was diagnosed with cancer and her difficult journey to fight it has begun. During these years she has never complained, and keeping up with the same positive energy, laughter, not showing signs of tiredness. The last year we have noticed that she is more tired, slowing down, and has to travel to Italy every month for the chemotherapy. Last year she had tuberculosis as well (as side effect of chemotherapy), which delayed her medication.

In these days is hard to afford medical bills of chemotherapy, for this kind of disease, so we agreed to open such fundraising to ease a little Meri's financial burden. She did not want it at the beginning, but we won her over. Convinced her!

The funds collected will be used to afford her monthly travels to Italy, and staying 3-5 days for chemotherapy, including medications.
