Hello everyone,

Our Xl Bully Marine, our 6-year-old girl, suddenly became very unwell and we are now desperately trying to find out what is wrong.

She struggles with her balance, sometimes falling when she walks and occasionally needing help to stand up. At times she even has difficulty going to the toilet on her own. Seeing her like this is heartbreaking.

We’ve had Marine since she was just 8 weeks old. She isn’t just a dog to us – she is family and a huge part of our lives.

Despite everything, Marine is still eating, drinking and looking at us with the same loving eyes. We know she wants to keep fighting.

Our vet believes she may have suffered a brain injury or possibly a stroke, and the only way to understand what is happening is through specialist neurological tests and an MRI brain scan.

We now have an appointment booked with the Neurology team at Veterinary Specialists Scotland on Tuesday 24th March at 11:30am.

The estimated veterinary costs are approximately:

Initial consultation – £290

MRI brain scan – around £2500

The consultation and MRI together are estimated at around £2790.

We set the fundraiser goal at £3500 to help cover any additional tests, medication or treatment Marine may need afterwards.

At the moment Marine lives with Us in Glasgow, while my two Staffordshire Bull Terriers are staying with my mum in Galashiels while I search for a new home where we can all live together again.

I will do everything I can for Marine and I will cover whatever amount is still needed. I’m simply asking for help to support and contribute towards the cost of her diagnostics and treatment.

Every donation, no matter how small, brings us closer to getting Marine the answers and help she needs.

Nasza Marine, nasza 6-letnia dziewczynka, nagle bardzo poważnie zachorowała i teraz desperacko próbujemy dowiedzieć się, co się z nią dzieje.

Ma problemy z równowagą, przewraca się podczas chodzenia i czasami potrzebuje pomocy żeby wstać. Zdarza się również, że ma trudność z samodzielnym załatwieniem się. Patrzenie na nią w takim stanie jest naprawdę bardzo trudne.

Mamy Marine odkąd miała zaledwie 8 tygodni. Nie jest dla nas tylko psem – jest częścią naszej rodziny i ogromną częścią naszego życia.

Mimo wszystko Marine nadal je i pije oraz patrzy na nas tymi samymi kochającymi oczami. Widać, że chce walczyć.

Weterynarze podejrzewają uraz mózgu lub nawet udar, dlatego konieczne są specjalistyczne badania neurologiczne oraz badanie MRI mózgu.

Mamy już umówioną wizytę u zespołu neurologicznego w Veterinary Specialists Scotland na wtorek 24 marca o godzinie 11:30.
