Help Our Mama Fight Through This Battle

Hi everyone,

I’m writing this with a heavy heart and a lot of hope.

On May 18, our mom started showing flu-like symptoms. We didn’t think much of it — just the usual body aches, slight fever, and some shortness of breath. We thought it was something she’d recover from with a bit of rest and meds.

But by the next day (May 19), we had her booked for an 8AM check-up. When we got to the hospital, we were told to proceed straight to the ER due to the number of patients. That moment changed everything. What we thought would be a routine consultation turned into a sudden ICU admission. She was diagnosed with Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD).

By May 22, her condition worsened. She had to be intubated due to critically low oxygen and high carbon dioxide levels. Doctors later confirmed she was facing sepsis/septic shock, leading to multiple organ failure.

Right now, she’s fighting for her life and we’re doing everything we can to fight alongside her.

Her doctors have recommended a series of hemoperfusion treatments, which are vital to her recovery. But the cost is overwhelming. As of today, our running hospital bill is already at ₱396,658.87 and this doesn’t include the cost of aftercare and the continued treatments she’ll need in the days and weeks ahead.

We’ve pooled everything we have — our savings and support from loved ones but it’s simply not enough. Both our parents are senior citizens, and this situation has placed an enormous emotional and financial burden on our family.

Still, we’re pushing through because we know our mom is strong. She’s always been the kind of person who doesn’t give up and neither will we.
