This February, 12 year old Layna was diagnosed with childhood leukemia. Layna lives in Turnersville, NJ with her parents, Tim and Justine as well as her sister, Natalya. She loves Disney World, stitch and crafts, and Star Wars! Her favorite character is Chewbacca!

Layna has been fighting cancer, receiving chemo treatments, for the last month.

Layna and her family are an incredible asset to their community- they are generous, giving people who continue to offer unwavering loyalty and love towards their neighbors and friends. The DeJoseph’s have personally held fundraisers, charities, and other events for others in need. Such examples are the annual Spike Clark MS tournament, Special Olympics event, and fundraisers for others who have battled illness, accidents, etc. Despite living in New Jersey, The DeJoseph’s continues to travel by to PA in order to provide children in the Lower Bucks County area an outlet to stay active and in a positive environment through the Lower Bucks Flag Football Association. Time and time again they’ve provided kids who were financially restricted, an avenue to play a sport we all love and teach them the value of teamwork, love, friendship, and comradery.

The DeJosephs are active in their faith community, schools, the flag football community, and they are incredible parents and friends. It is now time for the community and for anyone who can empathize with this crisis to give back to them. Resources are needed to help ease worry about medical bills and expenses that are incurring from the Leukemia treatment and chemotherapy. If we are able to raise more than needed for medical expenses, additional money could help them afford to take time from work or running the league that they volunteer at, so that they can be entirely focused on their little one's healing and focusing on their family's needs.
