Help Our Loved Ones Rebuild After the Flood

Many of you know our parents, Joyce and Chris, and my mom’s sister—our aunt Edith.

They are always there for everyone when they can be, and now they need us.

During Hurricane Helene, both of their homes took on over 4 feet of water, destroying everything they own. As we work with the insurance carriers, we need to get them into temporary housing. They’ll need some furniture and household things to get them by over the next few months as we wait to remediate. This process can take 6-8 months, as this is their 3rd flood in 4 years. As they have gotten older, it’s harder for them to handle this on their own. The financial, emotional, and physical burden is quite overwhelming for them. We want to try and alleviate as much stress as we can.

Anything will help, even if you have some furniture or household items you no longer need. Gift cards for Amazon, Target, Walmart, or Publix would also help.
