Support Scott and Sharon after Eaton Fire
Donation protected
I'm starting a GoFundMe for our dear friends, Scott and Sharon and their dog Mochi. They were our neighbors for over 20 years when we lived in Altadena. They watched our kids grow up and shared many neighborhood gatherings over the years.
On the evening of January 7th, they had to quickly evacuate their home in Altadena as they watched the Eaton fire move closer to their neighborhood. By the next morning, their home (and entire neighborhood) was gone. They lost everything. They had a small, modest home, decorated mid-century modern, that was tucked up against the Altadena foothills. Their yard was filled with over 300 succulents and cacti, as Sharon is an avid succulent grower and a member of the San Gabriel Valley Cactus & Succulent Society. Scott, a music engineer, also ran a small business out of his home. He lost all of his inventory of custom-built audio equipment that tragic night, too.
Scott and Sharon have every hope to begin again in Altadena, a place they will always call home. Although no amount of money can replace all that was lost in the fire, I hope this fundraiser will make it a little easier for them to take their next steps towards rebuilding their lives.
