The point of this fundraiser is to raise funds for basic supplies such as water & food. Every peso counts and will go towards these basic necessities. Our friends will be travelling to Acapulco on the 29th so please donate anything you can before then, so that they can purchase water and food.

For anyone who has had the privilege of visiting Mexico, you understand its breathtaking beauty, the warm and welcoming nature of its people, and the richness of its culture. But also, the huge disparity in wealth and lack of help for those who need it most. Especially in times of desperate need, like now.

On Wednesday, October 25th, a devastating Category 5 hurricane struck the beautiful city of Acapulco (Mexico). A City that is very close to our hearts, as we have become very close friends with a number of locals and their families, who have welcomed us into their lives with open arms. They have shown us what real generosity is like. A City with incredible waves, amazing food and the kindest people. Once an incredible place, now completely destroyed. As photos and videos slowly start to emerge as communication from the City starts to function again after 2 days of nothing, it's starting to look more and more like a real life horror movie.

This has left our dear and very close friends and their families in a state of emergency. The situation is dire, and they need our help. In the middle of the night, a forecasted tropical storm suddenly strengthened into a deadly hurricane within a couple of hours and without warning. There was no time to prepare.

The long term economic damage this will have on our friends families, who are very reliant on earning money through local sources, is unimaginable. However, in this moment, we need all the help we can get for short term help.
