Help our local Crazy Cat Lady recover from serious illness

Good evening,

Many of you know our amazing Stacey Peters. She is the Board Secretary and Lost & Found Coordinator at Whimsical Whiskers Rescue. Unfortunately, Stacey has been pretty well fighting for her life for the last few months. She has had health issue after health issue, and now has been off work since January 1st, 2025. She has been having seizures that are landing her in the hospital over and over again, many hospital stays, tons of testing, and finally a Lyme and Bartonella diagnosis. She can no longer work or drive.

Quite literally diseases she has obtained from doing what she has dedicated her entire life to, saving animals.

Stacey has helped countless animals and people, and it seems that many forget all the good she has done. She has been the only cat rescue in Cumberland and Clark counties since 2016, and helped animals even dating back to Hurricane Katrina. Her stories are endless. Even when she was not supposed to be using her knee after surgery, she was stumbling through creeks and ditches to save kittens that no one else would help.

Stacey’s husband Jordan has had to take off work to take care of her many times and because of that and Stacey being completely unable to work now, they have many bills overdue and are struggling to make ends meet. The world is scary enough with two incomes.

Please don’t let this woman, who has done so much good in the world, struggle like this. I’m begging for everyone to step up for her like she has stepped up for others, it’s the least we could do.

We are asking for help with medical bills, every day life bills, groceries, gas to and from doctors appointments, etc. Every little bit helps.

Stacey is an important part of our rescue. We wouldn’t be the same without her. Please show her the love you show the cats & dogs of the world.
