Help Our Local Atchison Hero - Alex Moore

Hey everyone. My name is Whitney and I am a co-worker of Alex Moore. Alex was recently diagnosed with Squamous Cell Carcinoma (Tonsil and Throat Cancer) which has presented itself as two large masses in his neck. Though found in its early stages, Alex has a long road ahead of him with multiple doctors visits, surgery, recovery, and hours driving back and forth to Kansas City to appointments. Alex is a police officer with the Atchison Police Department and he, along with his wife, Jodi, created the organization Heroes Helping. Heroes Helping raises funds and gathers items to provide local children with their school supplies and even new shoes at the beginning of each school year. Alex and his wife have spent hours upon hours organizing events, fundraisers, spending time with the public, and putting together school supplies for our community. Alex and Jodi have four school aged children at home and will be balancing work, school, treatment, etc. With all of these things happening at once plus the holidays coming upon us very quickly, I want to make sure Alex and Jodi have one less thing to worry about.
