Help A Little Superhero Smile: Fundraiser for Baby Archer!

We are reaching out to you on behalf of our dear friends and neighbors, the Lo Family. We are so thankful for baby Archer's arrival and that he is receiving the care he needs to one day thrive at home! As many of you know Archer's story has come with some challenges, so we set up this gofundme to help the Lo's with medical expenses from Archers stay in the NICU, and the surgery he recently had to undergo. We also ask that you would PRAY for Archer's healing, and also for Emily, Jerry, Edison, and Lenora while they are all awaiting their precious son/brother to come home! Here is a note from the Lo family:

Dear Friends, Family, and Kind Strangers,

Meet Archer, our tiny superhero who, at just a few weeks old, is already taking on the world—one surgery at a time. Archer was born with Pierre Robin Sequence, a rare condition that made his first breath a challenge. But fear not! With the courage of a lion and the heart of a fighter, Archer underwent mandibular distraction surgery to help him breathe and eventually smile like the little champion he is. This surgery was a success, but the battle is far from over. Archer will need multiple surgeries and ongoing therapies to fix his airway/cleft palate and help him eat, and here’s where we need your help.

Now, you’d think our insurance would be all in to support Archer on his journey, right? Wrong! Apparently, our insurance company decided that everything Archer needs—from breathing tubes to surgery—falls under “labor and delivery.” Yes, you heard that right. They’ve lumped our son’s life-saving surgeries and therapies in with the process of, you know, having a baby! We’re all for bundling, but this is taking things a bit too far. It’s as if they believe Archer just needs to walk it off and get back to the womb to avoid these "extras." Because nothing says postpartum care like a series of surgeries and therapy sessions, right?

So, here we are, humbly (and a little humorously) asking for your help. We’re fighting for our son’s right to medical care that’s not treated as a delivery room add-on. Every dollar you donate will go directly to ensuring Archer gets the specialized care he needs—not just the basics, but the ongoing treatments that will give him a real shot at a healthy, happy life. Let’s show this insurance company that Archer’s care is more than a line item in a labor and delivery bill. Together, we can help our little superhero conquer this challenge and eventually flash that first beautiful, bright smile.
