Help Our Little Schnauzer Harrison Beat Melanoma

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Sammy, and I’m Harrison’s “head teacher” at his daycare, Muckypupz Doggy Daycare & Boarding.
Harrison is a much-loved member of our daycare family. I’m setting up this fundraiser to help raise money for his cancer treatment and give him the best possible chance moving forward. Harrison is a much-loved 6-year-old Miniature Schnauzer who was recently diagnosed with a malignant melanoma on his front paw. Although the tumour was surgically removed, it was incompletely excised, meaning cancer cells remained.
Following further testing, we’ve now received more difficult news. Microscopic cancer cells have been identified in his lymph nodes, meaning the cancer has already started to spread.
What This Means
Because the cancer is no longer just localised, surgery is no longer a curative option on its own. The focus is now on systemic treatment to slow the progression of the disease and give Harrison the best possible quality of life for as long as possible.
Recommended Treatment
Harrison’s veterinary specialists have recommended a melanoma vaccine course, which works to stimulate his immune system to fight the cancer.
This involves:
* 4 injections, given every 2 weeks
* Followed by booster injections every 6 months
This treatment is considered very safe and is currently the best available option to delay progression and extend survival time.
Costs
The cost of this treatment is significant:
* Initial vaccine course: £3,780
* Ongoing boosters: £1,472 every 6 months
Unfortunately, Harrison’s insurance will not cover this, as the policy limit for this condition has already been reached.
Why We’re Asking for Help
Harrison is still bright, happy, and full of life — the same little dog everyone knows and loves at daycare.
This treatment isn’t a cure, but it offers something incredibly important: more time, and a good quality of life.
We want to give him that chance.
Every donation, no matter how small, will go directly towards his treatment.
If you’re unable to donate, sharing this page would mean the world.
Thank you for helping Harrison
