Help our Lahaina Cheer team represent at Nationals

After a very productive summer of training KZ cheer was ready to take 3 teams to Nationals. 50 children were preparing train hard for nationals. Then the August 8th fires destroyed our town, and left 25 children of our team without homes and belongings. The effect was far reaching across the whole team, parents loosing employment children's schools closed for months, emotional pain and sever loss.

If there is one thing about people in Lahaina, we try very hard.

It took a moment to decide if it was possible to end the season. Understandably for many families it was impossible to consider continuing, just too much.

We held a meeting to decide if those who wanted to try to complete what they started, and for those who were able to shift training and were able to drive an hour across the island to bring their child to train in another town across the island, and it was decided that these children deserved to be given the chance to continue. 18 children are now fighting to take back control and not let the fire determine their cheer destiny.

Training began very late in 2023, the road to building a team to prepare for nationals has been hard, BUT KZ Cheer is ready to represent Lahaina at the upcoming Division 2, All star National Championship tp be held in Las Vegas Feb 16/17.
