Help Our Kitty Gremlin Heal and Thrive

Hello friends,

My name is Carl and I'm trying to raise money for myself and my wife to care for our senior kitty, Gremlin. She's been a shining light in our life for 14 years, and today woke us up in pain. She was howling and screaming as if the world was ending, and we didn't know what was wrong. She refused food and seemed unable to move about or do anything, like frozen and just screaming for help. So we did the best thing we knew, we called our nearby vet and got her there A.S.A.P.

After a lengthy visit, we learned a few things about our kitty. She's a lover, so much so she has an enlarged heart that's giving her high blood pressure. She also has anxiety, as she doesn't like being left alone, and from blood work, we learned she has a potassium deficiency. We were prepared for the worst, so when this was all given, we were a bit relieved as everything was treatable with medication.

Then the other shoe fell, as the saying goes. While we were discussing everything and preparing to pay, she started screaming again, out of nowhere. She was laying quietly on the table and then just howling, and trying to stand up without the ability to. The doctor had said she had a full bladder, so our first thought was she needed to go. So we got her a litter box and set her in it, and she did go but kept struggling to stand and howling. The doctor also then noticed she was likely having a seizure due to her eyes. It was something we had never seen before, and I'll be honest, a bit traumatizing as we felt unable to help our kitty.

She eventually settled down, but the doctors changed up some of the recommended medication, told us what we needed to do, and told us to keep an eye on her and report to them anything drastic. We got her home, and it's been about 5 hours since, and she's still a little wobbly kitty. She can't bring herself to stand; the doctor believes it's due to the high blood pressure, so she's been given her meds, and we're hoping with rest it will go away. Research shows when a sudden onset, it would be temporary.

We're seeking help in a monetary way to help pay for these expenses, as they were sudden and a bit excessive. Also, to help continue her care to make sure if we need more tests or the like, we can afford them as she's such an important part of our family and our life. We want her happy and healthy. Also, we've had to sit and be realistic and not be selfish, as if it comes to it and the seizures don't stop, we know the route we should take so she's not in pain and unhappy. And the funds would then be used for those expenses.
