There are times when we must reach inside ourselves and offer help to our friends.  I know many of you are supporting fundraisers for many other purposes, but this one is near and dear to my heart.  I beg your consideration.

Many of you have joined Ron and I in our annual treks to Jaco, Costa Rica and specifically the small hotel that we take over.  Those of you that have traveled with us, know what a magical place it is.  Covid19 has caused most all of the wonderful staff there to lose their jobs and has now gone on 6 months without any income.

Thus culminated this week with the loss of life of Danny.  He worked at the restaurant and lounge and for the 5 years we've gone there, gave tirelessly of himself to make sure we had a fantastic vacation.  Extreme depression with no end in sight got the best of him, and he took his life.

First and foremost, I want to say if ANYONE of my friends or family is suffering, please reach out.  I am here for you.

This fundraiser is one of HOPE and PROMISE.  I am hoping to raise funds so that we can gift those wonderful people that work so hard to take care of us when we go there each year.  They marvel at our ability to travel, they are so impressed at our ability to give simply just to give despite it's not for personal gain.

There are about 20 employees that have worked for us and taken care of us.  It is our goal to be able to send $500 to each of them, as well as Danny's family.  Or whatever the amount ends up being, they will be eternally grateful.
