On November 28th, 2016 Eddie Shanks journey ended due to Prader-Willi Syndrome. Prader- Willi Syndrome is a rare genetic disorder that causes obesity, intellectual disability and shortness in height. Eddie was only 49 years old and due to his syndrome had not been out of bed in 25 years.
We are requesting funds to cover funeral expenses which are increased due to the side effects of his syndrome. Eddie's mom is unable to work as she is the main caretaker for both Eddie and his father who is currently on hospice. Despite Eddie's limitations his optimism and joy of life was contagious. He was loved by all that knew him.
