For more than 20 years, my grandpa called the top of Peavine Mountain home. He took the house that was there, fixed it up, and truly turned the property into a home. Over the years, he had gardens, animals, and countless memories that made the property so special to him.

The Hawk Fire completely destroyed his home and everything he had built. He was only able to get out with his dogs and had no time to take clothes or belongings with him. After 20 years in the same place, he is now left with almost nothing.

Unfortunately, because of the location and nature of the property, he was unable to have fire insurance, so there is no insurance to help replace what was lost.

We are raising money to help with immediate necessities like clothing and a place to stay, and ultimately to help him find a new place to call home.
