Help our grandmother rebuild her home after a fire

Hello, my name is Loressa Schulze, and I am one of Sonja’s granddaughters. Our family is asking for help from the community to help offset the expenses associated with the loss of her home. Sonja lost her home on December 5th, 2023 and sadly lost 3 animals, as well as all the contents within the home.

Our grandmother lived in a home on the property owned by my mother and step-father. Over the last year, my mother Lori has been caring for my step-father who was in a severe motorcycle accident that left him permanently disabled. My mother is the primary caretaker for him as well as the upkeep of their farm.

We are looking to raise money to offset the expenses as well as take some of the burden off of my mother and grandmother so that they can continue to focus on the care of my step-father as well as rebuild my grandmothers home.

This family has shown more kindness and generosity to the community, their family, and their friends. A family that will ask for nothing if they need it, who’d simply “pull up their britches and do what needs to be done”. Let’s find a way to return some of the kindness they’ve shown us by giving whatever we can to help.
